We are the Milan Club SoCal group. Our love for AC Milan stretches across Southern California from Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, San Diego and to the OC. It was thanks to Twitter and David, the president from the Philly Milan Club, that we got started. I had reached out to David to see if he knew of anyone meeting up in LA. He wasn't aware of anyone meeting but agreed to tweet out an inquiry about Milan fans in the LA area and put them in contact with me. The first one to respond was Vartan and we started talking about putting a group together. For the first few months it was just 4-5 guys just talking about Milan. Our first meet up was for the Derby in the Spring of 2019. We lost that Derby 2-3, but for the first time, a few of us (10-12 who showed up) got a chance to enjoy/suffer together and share our passion for Milan. Since then the group has been growing slowly but surely, primarily through social media and personal connections (e.g., seeing someone with a jersey at the store or on street and approaching them). The team's historical performance in the 21/22 season is what definitely increased our participation and we are now looking to become an official club and increase the number of activities, perks and opportunities for our members.
