Rossoneri vs Juventini – Matchday 9

Milan 2 – Juve 0

At the start of the match, the spectator can easily acknowledge the response of the Rossoneri from the 3-0 defeat against Chelsea in the Champions League mid-week. With Brahim Diaz starting, Theo back from injury and a new christmas tree formation focused more heavy on defense, you could get an idea of a counter attack end to end strategy.

The beginning of the first half, the Rossoneri looked in control with a few scary moments from Juventus players like Cuadrado, Malik and Danilo. The scary moments left the viewer on edge nearly every minute and made it impossible to look away.

Now just last week there was much scrutiny towards an English Canadian Nigerian named Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola “Fikayo” Tomori. The legend himself Thierry Henry giving the most, unfair in my opinion, suggesting he lost his way by moving to Italy after his performance versus Chelsea. Fortunately, Henry is not as good a commentator as he is a footballer. At the 45th minute during stoppage time, Tomori was game to prove his focus and his top class ability.

Just before the half, Olivier Giroud blasted the ball towards Tomori forcing the English National player to quickly react and chest the ball before making a strikers turn and firing the ball past Szczesny.

Milanisti all over the world were buzzing as they go into half time with a 1 goal lead.

The pace of the second half started exactly where Milan left off. In addition, Tomori continued his perfect performance by putting pressure on Vlahovic and forcing him to make a bad pass near the center of the field. And then something magical, Messi like, Goku-esc, avengers trying to recruit like, occurrence from a little Brazilian with much to prove. As Vlahovic frustratingly gives the ball away, Brahim Diaz pounces into action racing down the field like Forrest Gump and some brand new legs. Absolutely astonishing goal and one to remember.

The final score ended with Milan taking the win with a clean result of 2-0. However, other players need to be mentioned as they played crucial roles to this win. The defense from Kalulu and Gabbia allowed the Rossoneri plenty of chances to counter and keep the Juventini on the back of their feet. In addition, Leao kept the pressure and focus on him by having many outside attempts including dribbling straight at defenders as he normally does allowing other players to be more open and dangerous.

An overall great performance from the Rossoneri and superberb decision making from Pioli.
